Baseline Resource Assessment and Reporting
  • Silver Creek Valley Country Club Baseline Biological Study, Wetland Delineation, and Study of Bay Checkerspot Butterfly (Shea Homes)
  • Monterey Pine Forestry Study, Coastal Dunes Report, and Yadon’s Piperia Census (Piperia yadonii) 2004 and 2005 in support of the Del Monte Forest Preservation and Development Plan (Pebble Beach Company)

Project Planning and Coordination
  • Fort Ord Base Reuse Plan - provided biological resource guidance (Fort Ord Reuse Authority)
  • Alameda Naval Air Station Community Reuse Plan - technical assistance on key biological resource issues (Alameda Reuse and Redevelopment Authority)
  • Parker Flats Burn - key coordinator of 113 acre multi-agency habitat restoration burn on the former Fort Ord military base (Fort Ord Reuse Authority)
Permit Assistance, Agency Liaison and CEQA/NEPA Review      
  • East Garrison Specific Plan - 2081 permit from the California Department of Fish and Game for incidental take of sand gilia (East Garrison Partners 1, LLC)
  • North of Playa Project - Section 10 (a)(1)(B) permit from the US Fish and Wildlife Service for incidental take of Smith's blue butterfly and several other sensitive species (D.B.O Development Company)
  • Overlook Shopping Center - Streambed Alteration Agreement from the California Department of Fish and Game (D.B.O Development Company)
  • Alameda Naval Air Station - liaison and negotiation with U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service during Section 7 Consultation (Alameda Reuse and Redevelopment Authority)
Compliance Implementation and Monitoring        
  • Sand City Water Supply Project - developed and implemented Black Legless Lizard Search and Relocation Plan (City of Sand City)
  • Pacific Shores Apartments - developed and implemented two years of compliance monitoring for on-site wetland and riparian buffer strip (Pacific Union Homes)
  • Marina Dunes RV Park Expansion Project - developed and implemented Monterey Spineflower Mitigation Plan and Black Legless Lizard Search and Relocation Plan (Marina RV, LLC)
  • Monterey Peninsula Country Club Shore Course Redesign - developed and implemented five year monitoring plan for restored habitat, sensitive Pacific Grove clover and coastal dunes milk-vetch, and site hydrology on 50-acre restoration site (Monterey Peninsula Country Club)
Habitat Conservation Planning      
  • Draft Base-Wide Habitat Conservation Plan for Fort Ord - principal author (Fort Ord Reuse Authority)
  • Habitat Conservation Plan for the City of Sand City (City of Sand City)
  • Monterey Bay Shores Habitat Conservation Plan (SNG Development Company)

Wetland Delineation      
  • Canyon and Sub-Watershed Transect Study for Sunshine Canyon Landfill (Browning Ferris Industries)
  • San Juan Oaks Country Club Wetland Delineation; obtained wetland fill permit (San Juan Oaks Country Club)
  • Silver Creek Valley Country Club Wetland Delineation; developed wetland mitigation plan, obtained wetland fill permit and Streambed Alteration Agreement (Shea Homes)
Geographic Information Systems      
  • Fort Ord Landfill - used GPS to map and create digital layer of all sand gilia on landfill and surrounding lands. Layer was overlaid on several previous years' data to determine total sand gilia habitat (County of Monterey)
  • Monterey Peninsula Country Club Shore Course Redesign -used GPS to map rare plant occurrences and to compare extent and location of occurrences over time (Monterey Peninsula Country Club)
  • Signal Hill Dunes - used GPS to map sensitive resources and the limit of remnant coastal dune habitat on the site, thereby determining the limit of ESHA and the area of remaining developable land (Pebble Beach Company)
Restoration Planning and Implementation
  • Arroyo Seco Riparian/Wetland Restoration Project in Pasadena, CA (Browning Ferris Industries)
  • Rancho Canada Restoration and Mitigation Plan in Carmel, CA (Rancho Canada Community Partners)
  • Shore Course Redesign Mitigation and Monitoring Plan (Monterey Peninsula Country Club)
  • Villagio Wetland Restoration and Habitat Enhancement Plan (Glen Loma Group and Orchard Valley Communities)
